Ireland has removed all Covid-19 travel restrictions, including the requirement to complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) or provide proof of vaccination or recovery from the virus.

The Irish government lifted all remaining Covid-related travel restrictions on Sunday (6 March) and confirmed that arriving passengers also no longer need to take a Covid test.

“From Sunday, 6 March 2022, travellers to Ireland are not required to show proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative PCR test result upon arrival,” confirmed the Irish government.

“There are no post-arrival testing or quarantine requirements for travellers to Ireland. Travel carriers will not ask to check a PLF receipt prior to travel to Ireland.

“Any individual that develops Covid-19 symptoms while in Ireland should follow the HSE (Health Service Executive) guidance in relation to isolation and undertaking antigen or PCR testing as appropriate.”

Travellers who plan to transit through Ireland’s airports or ports to visit Northern Ireland will still need to comply with UK travel requirements, including the completion of a UK Passenger Locator Form.
